NEW FOR 20081 Jan 2008. -- Samui Easytek Co, Thailand becomes the first training center in Asia to provide specialist training for personnel wishing to qualify as technicians in the dive industry. Candidates attending the ASSET approved Dive Industry Technicians Course (DITC), are required to attend a minimum 10 day intensive course with emphasis on workshop practice and 'hands-on skills'. The course features 3 main modules concentrating on the special requirements of regulators, Compressors and scuba tanks. Each module features a formal academic sessions covering theory of operation plus final practical and theoretical exams to test the candidates ability to 'evaluate and repair' or 'to reject' potentially hazardous diving equipment.
