ADVANCED
TECHNICIAN member of ASSET
Membership fee: GBP35.00 A person with
both training and experience who is capable of working unsupervised on a
wide variety of diving equipment.

Pre-requisites: |
Hold the Dive Industry Technicians Certificate together with at least three
manufacturers equipment clinic Certificates, and have documented proof
of 6 months full time (or the equivalent part time) experience in the
maintenance and repair of diving equipment
or
Hold the Dive Industry Technicians Certificate and have documented
proof of at least one year's full time (or the equivalent part time)
experience in the maintenance and repair of diving equipment and hold at
least three manufacturers equipment clinic Certificates

| Level of responsibility: |
May take responsibility for all work
shop activities working unsupervised on a broad variety of equipment.
May supervise less qualified Technicians and Associates |
Notes :
1. This is the minimum grade required for the responsible person in an
IDEST Approved Service Center working in accordance with ASSET CP1.
2. Manufacturers Technicians are exempted from the requirement to attend
three manufacturers courses unless and until they move into general
practice. |
